RACIST COMMENT - BILSTON TOWN v DUDLEY TOWN (27TH DECEMBER 2022)

We can confirm that, after extensively reviewing CCTV footage following reports of a racially motivated comment during the Dudley Town fixture on Tuesday 27th December, we have identified an individual and the information has been sent to the police and the Staffordshire Football Association for further investigation.

The person identified is unknown to both football clubs, however, we will be stressing to the authorities that we will be seeking the harshest and most appropriate penalty along with banning the individual from attending future fixtures at Queen Street.

We would like to assure all visitors to Queen Street that Bilston Town CFC take full responsibility for the actions of players, management and spectators and will always investigate thoroughly any reports of discriminatory language or behaviour while pushing for the harshest penalties to anyone found guilty of such actions.

Again we stress our sincerest apologies to the match officials and reiterate our commitment to playing our part in promoting a more tolerant and respectful society both inside and outside of football.
