STEELMEN ANNOUNCE MANAGEMENT STRUCTURE CHANGE
24th November 2021
Bilston Town are very excited to announce a number of structural changes within the club with the aim of moving the club forward both on and off the field.
As many of you know we were delighted when Wayne Spicer returned to Queen Street in the Spring and both he and his staff have been working hard behind the scenes to develop the club further in order to compliment the first team activity.
A number of these positive advances can already be seen such as the link with the Daniel Sturridge Academy managing the Under 19 team and Wayne Smith taking up the managerial position of our newly created Bilston Town Reserves currently playing in the Birmingham & District Football League (formerly the Birmingham AFA).
Despite both of these developments only having been established a short time ago the club have already seen positive contributions towards the growth of the club both on and off the field. These plans, however, don't stop there and there is much more to come to ensure sustainability and the successful future of Bilston Town Community FC.
In order to realise these plans the club has offered Spicer a new role as Head of Football Operations which will not only see Spicer involved with the first team but also all other aspects of football across the club. Spicer is an enthusiastic, highly motivated and aspirational individual who wants to play a key role in developing the club further and implementing plans that are currently already in development.
We are delighted to announce that Spicer has accepted this new role with immediate effect.
As a result of the change in role for Spicer we have subsequently offered a promotion to current assistant manager Hayden Foote and we are pleased to confirm he has accepted the opportunity to become the first team manager.
Hayden is familiar to all at Bilston Town and has worked with Spicer for two years in a variety of roles across several clubs, showing similar expectations, values and ambition as his predecessor. He will now continue to work closely with Spicer and his staff to build on the strong foundations we have already established this season as the club focuses on an exciting and positive future for Bilston Town Community Football Club
.
We wish both Spicer and Hayden the best of luck in their respective new roles.
